Hello, I'm Buddy!
Meet Buddy! He is a 6-year-old lab mix who was left to fend for himself after his previous owner passed away. He roamed Spring Branch for about a month before he was finally picked up and taken to a shelter. Once at the shelter, neighbors in Spring Branch rallied to network him and raise funds to get him safe and give him the life he deserves.
Now, Buddy is getting to experience a comfy lifestyle! He is a sensitive and sweet boy who occasionally has spurts of energy that showcase his playful personality. Buddy enjoys being outside and likes long walks. He also likes to play and run around with his foster dog siblings in the yard, but is mostly content to sit on the back deck next to his foster humans. Inside, Buddy has discovered the luxury and comfort of dog beds (and human beds) and is quite the sleepy couch potato. After a long evening walk, he plops down on the dog bed in the living room while his foster humans unwind and watch TV before bed.
Buddy is well-mannered and is slowly learning basic commands, such as sit and laydown. He is a large-sized dog and weighs just over 70 pounds. He likes being part of his foster dog pack, but is independent and will do okay in a forever home without a dog sibling. He does not do well with other species, though, so no cat siblings or other animals for him. He has not been tested with children.
